DETOURS Does every week feel like a detour—full DETOURS

Does every week feel like a detour—full of unexpected roadblocks and turns?

If the last few years have taught us anything, it is that mindset and flexibility matter.

Whether you tend to see the glass as "half empty" or "half full," you can train your brain to see the beauty and opportunity in every situation.

Some of the best ideas come from situations that were unexpected because they force you to take another perspective and think outside the box.

Take D20 Theory for example... I was super comfy in my 9-to-5 job until I was unexpectedly laid off. Major detour, right?!

Once I recovered from the initial shock of being unemployed, I realized I had an opportunity to do something new and creative. A couple of months later, D20 Theory was born!

✍🏻 What was the last "detour" you encountered? Did anything positive come from the experience?

✍🏽 What allowed you to be open to this positive take on the experience?

I was asked a great question about mindset work du I was asked a great question about mindset work during my last Positive Mindset class with SPIRIT Club.

Question: How do you keep a positive mindset when something happens in your life that is really hard to cope with?

When you feel like the tools you have in your mindset toolbox aren’t helping, be open to trying something new.

Unfortunately, we won’t always be prepared for life’s challenges—especially the big, unexpected ones, like the loss of a job or the death of a pet.

Nurture relationships with family, friends, and other support people so you can support each other when something happens in your life that makes it hard to cope.

When you build those relationships, you feel good about supporting others without feeling guilting asking for support when you need it.

The icing on the 🍰 was that this was my most successful vendor event to date.

I sold out of several products and had to update my catalog this week.

Send me a message if you're interested in thoughtfully-sourced products to support you productivity, mindset, and self care. I'll share the updated catalog with you.
VALUE Can minimalism and abundant inspiration coe VALUE

Can minimalism and abundant inspiration coexist? Why yes, they can!

Just like productivity is a concrete concept linked to quantitative outcomes, and mindset is an abstract concept often associated with qualitative feelings, minimalism and inspiration can—and should—coexist.

The super simple recipe is...

Combine 1 part "beautiful" and 1 part "useful." Mix well. For best results, consume daily.
